- What is professionalism? Some say it's all about attitude and behavior; others argue that its nothing other than knowledge and experience.
- Are we professionals? In any case (Yes or No) , what we possess/need to claim this.
- Do You Know Yourself? Is it necessary to know your strengths and weaknesses.?
- Is it true that understanding your personality type will help you ease into any environment?
Professionalism is all about the approach and an appropriate way to handle the things upto the maturity level of the community.

ReplyDeleteWell I think that I know myself very well secondly you realise your weeknesses and strenghts with the passage of time. Sometimes your friends and teachers make you realise about your strengths and weeknesses and it wouldn't be wrong that nobody knows his/her self completely.
@ 4th point
Certainly...
Professionalism is a phenomena which occurs within the Professinals, which reflects their dealings with customers and fulfill their requirements.
ReplyDeleteprofessionalism is a tool which represents the whole skech of profesionals through their best approaches and capability to deal with the customers.(Shahid)
ReplyDeleteWe are Prefessional in the Sence that we are Professional Students because we are getting the professional degree at graduate level where we can prove our professional skills throug our abilities.
ReplyDeletePROFESSIONALISM to me means a sense of attainment of ULTIMACY regarding your work.....which keeps you at EASE while you get into troubles....takes you towards CARELESSNES at times.....DETERIORATES your carrer this way.
ReplyDeleteMeans PROFESSIONALISM leads to ULTIMACY which detracks us to EASE/CARELESSNES at times which results in DETERIORATION.So never get yourself feel professional....Because there is always a room for improvement.
@ Point 2:
ReplyDeleteBeing called a professional is something out the way because in my view, it is better to be called learners than professionals. So feel great to be pointed out as lowbrow.
@ Point 3:
ReplyDeleteA little of what I have known about myself had been put altogether in my Portfolio Development last year.... If somebody is good, I am the best with him but if somebody is bad, I am the worst....That's what I wanted to add on.
@ point 4:
In some cases, knowing yourself is something like you have found oasis in the desert.... In some cases, converse is also true.

ReplyDeletelet me to talk the first question,i think, the second answer is more comfertable because if we just see our parents life and there saying,we are more professional than you but think why, because thy used to say
we have more age.
so we face many problems,we deal many events,we learn,we teach more than you.
so we have more knowledge and experience than you,due to which i can say professionalism is knowledge+experience.thanks
Proffesionalism is the efficient management of skills and knowledge in a particular field that an expert of that field uses to get on with his job.
ReplyDeleteProfessionalism is the status of superiority in any field of life. It requires knowledge+opportunity+luck.
ReplyDelete@ Rana
ReplyDeleteHow could you relate your LUCK with Professionliasm ?
@2-We might be proffesionals or not ,as it depends on the qualities i'v mentioned above, but to claim our proffessionality we must have to reach out towards people to show what we have got in ourselves and what are we capable of and confidence in my view is the most essential thing for claiming that.
ReplyDelete@3-I persume that I still dont know myself but when we talk about qualities ,everybody certainly knows that what are his capabilities and it is very important to know our strengths and weaknesses for a person to survive in an industry for his bread n butter.

ReplyDeleteMost of the definitions posted above or difficult and can't be explained, without some that point to good definition.
ReplyDeleteI've heard this a long time ago.....
but never forgot.....'cause they are from successful professionals not from writers....
The first definition is easy as well the best one. The second is also good.
A professional is someone who always consistently and reliably meets the expectations of others, as well as of himself.
(a Japanese Surgeon, who made a 31 hour successful operation)
So...like time, there are things without form, things intangible, or invisible. I think, a professional is a person who gives
shape to such things, and that's what I want to be.
(a Biologist, doing research on circadian clock)
(giving shape to time means making it history and a record by making some creative work, and that work which serves the humanity and our good world.)
The last part of question describes just the same things.....
I mean.
good behavior and attitude comes from knowledge and experience.....
friends are welcome to comment on my writing
A person can be associated with any profession but he would not be termed as professional till the time he demonstrate the standards of highest degree that a particular profession requires. Knowledge, exhibition, demonstration of professional capabilities and the experience which people derive from such professionals gets reflected in form of professionalism.
